I cant install help please!!

Everytime I want to install the game, it says that there is a problem with the xspchdat.fcd file. It gets to the 100% but nothing happens then, and it keeps asking me to retry or cancel the installation.

try another cd-rom drive....or the disc may be damage

How do you know that he uses a disc to install the game, what if he doesnt use a disc, In other words, how do you know he didnt download it?
