Postby jrsmith23 on Sun Apr 24, 2005 1:01 pm

Hi all.
It´s the first time i write in this forum, but i have been reading threads long time ago. My question is if there is any way to change the Nba live 2005 idiom. I am spanish and i want it in english.

Idiom is an English word...
Oh God! I'm at least semi-literate!

Idiom is short for idomatic expression and is nowhere close to being = language.

Idiom could be for language or idiomatic expression (it could also be dialect).

About your question, yes. It's possible, although I don't know how. If you could get a hold of the spanish version of the game, it would be a lot easier, but there should be a way to patch it.

Do you speak spanish? Becuase 'idioma' in spanish means language, so null, he's still close...

Maybe it can be considered illegal. If you download from Internet the game in other language, and you just change it to your language, you'll have the game like you buy it.

OK, you just have to rename the files gameloc.xxx and locale.xxx to gameloc.yyy and locale.yyy .

xxx is your actual language and yyy the language that you want.

If I have the game in spanish, I should rename the file gameloc.spa to gameloc.eng and locale.spa to locale.eng .

That's all.

I tried that a while ago, although with no luck. The game's text got all screwed up.
Although if it works for you, that's good I guess.

For me it works, the only thing that not change are the height & weight unities. I'd like to have the game with centimetres and kilos.
