Salary Cap Editing?

Postby VMS on Wed Mar 16, 2005 8:25 am

:?:Is it possible to change salary caps? :?:
I'm tired of trades being denied due to salary cap problems.

I know it's not realisitic, but I'm not asking for a conversation on its realism,:roll: just a way to edit this via dbf, txt editing, or anything else.

Thanks,
VMS, (aka: The Artist Formerly known as EXPLOSIVO! I'm back, bitches.:twisted:)

try this
http://www.nba-live.com/nba2005/dbf_players.php

and change the following

CASH_YEAR: Player's salary for the current year. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
CASH_TOTAL: Cash required to sign player. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
CASH_RAISE: Player's annual raise - used for contracts that are not divided evenly over the number of years. Values appear to be in millions of dollars without the final three digits.
ie.
14625 = $14.625 million
1210 = $1.21 million
121 = $121000
YEARS_LONG: The length of the player's contract
YEARS_LEFT: Number of years left on the player's contract
CASH_TEAM: Team whose cap player's salary counts against - Refer to Chart
PREF_LEN: Number of years player would like to sign for

yes you can do it in franchise mode but back up your files before messing around with dbf editing..

Well, since the league minimum is less then $1 Million, what would I do?

If I wanted the salary to be 600K, would I put 60 or 060?

Thanks man,
Vin.

well if you want to put let say 385K just put 385....
check other players salary so see how they put the values for salary.

i dont know about the prefer salary but you can change the prefer contract length...

about that charging other team.. yes you can do that but thats too much cheating i guess :lol:
