How do you make everyone eligible for the dunk contest

Postby tweak420 on Sat Mar 12, 2005 3:45 am

I am using the updated rosters and tony allen now has somthing around a 90 dunk and jumping rating. Being a Celtics fan I would love to use him in the dunk contest, however the game only lets me choose paul pierce or ricky davis from the celtics. Is there somthing that can be edited in the .dbfs to make players eligible for the dunk contest? In dynasty mode Allen always gets choosen, but I would like to practice with him outside of my franchise.

I'm assuming you mean he has a 90 dunk and jump rating in your dynasty. In that case just go to Roster Management, Create Player, Edit Player, Information and put his dunk and jump rating that high. I think that should fix it, good luck.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear. I am using the current roster patch from this site, which also updates ratings. These updated ratings have Tony Allen at around 90 for jumping and dunking. When I click game modes and freestyle challenge, or all-star weekend, or even the dunk training, I cannot select him. You are limited to selecting only certain players, for example, the only players on the celtics that I can select are Ricky Davis and Paul Pierce.
In Dynasty the game chooses, and he is selected every year, but I always lose with him. So I wanted to practice outside of dynasty mode, but I can't load him even though his stats are just as high.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could edit this in a dbf file.

I believe it's because of the height or weight. Just like you cannot use Shaq in the dunk contest. I have created a new player with all 99 rate before, he couldn't enter the dunk contest because I set him to 300 pounds. Then I changed him to 280 pounds and he can win the dunk contest.

But tony allen is 6'4''. You can be Steve Francis and he is 6'4'', right?

After the update, you should be able to select either Ricky Davis or Tony Allen from the Celtics to compete in the dunk contest. Remember that you need to reload the rosters after you exit Dynasty Mode or when you start up the game.
