transparency question

Postby Polyester on Sun Feb 13, 2005 8:29 pm

if i have a picture with 4 colors (for example) and i want to have a different transparency level for each and every one of them, what should i do?
i know how to import a PNG file to FshX, with one full transparency color in it.
but how can i edit the different colors' transparency?

(like the old days with EAgraph. i can't open any NBA live 2005 fsh files with it).
thanks.

You can open the file in a graphic program and make the are you want transparent yourself.
Then importing a .png is the same as you import a .bmp, although you have to write in the name of the file instead of just clicking it.

Post if you experience any trubble... (y)

wait man, that's the explanation to make only one color transperent, isn't it? because i already know how to do it.
my question was about editing a different transperent level for each one of the colors inside the BMP/PNG file.

if what you said was about my request, so how do you edit it in PaintShopPro? thanks.

In Photoshop when you take 'Save for the web' you come up with the entire color-palette and can edit whatever color you wan't. In PSP I don't know.
But I'm pretty sure you can just use a tool to select a certain color in PSP, in Photoshop there is a few for that I belive. You could try to download the Trial version and see how that is and try to do it in there; In my oppinion Photoshop is a lot better than PSP.
If you have no will to do that, then what you could do is search in the help-file in PSP for 'transparency' and see what you come up with. I'm pretty sure it has an option for doing what you ask for...
