Question Regarding XBox Patching.

Hey, I have NBA Live 2005, and a mod chipped xbox. the chip enables me to copy games to the harddrive. now heres my question.

if i copy my nba live game to my xbox, then use those network cables to hook it up to my laptop, would it be possible for me to edit/patch my game? i can access pretty much all files on the box itself, but cant edit anything. so i was thinking maybe i could do it on the computer using the network cable.

so is this possible, and if anyone knows how, please explain.
