Problems installing NBA Live 2005

I agree that a sticky thread for installation problems is a good idea, so here it is. Post any problems you have installing the game here.

I can already add that 99% of real installation problems (file errors etc) will come from bad or scratched CD's. Check the backside of the CD's, maybe wipe 'm clean. If that doesn't help, return them to the store and normally they'll give you a new copy.

Also, we don't help out people with downloaded or copied versions of the game. This game is worth the money, so buy it!

If anyone has a problem, when posting your thread, please include your computer specs, including video card, before posting your thread

also if its something to do with graphics, like image distortion, try different drivers, either from the card's main site, nvidia.com or ati.com, or try various ones like omegadrivers.net or forceware from guru3d.com

ps. if you updated ur drivers to nvidia.com's latest and game is messing up, roll back ur drivers and get different ones, that happened to me and its just the drivers, i got different newer one and everything worked back then on my old geforce 4


another problem we see here is problems installing the easports update, i believe that if you go to ea update and click install patch, nothing happens to the game so I suggest that you manually install it, you can grab that installation file here

if when you are installing and it gives you an error saying Old File not found or something like that, check to see which file it is and go to your nba live cd and copy that file to the folder, the reason it gives the error is because you use some patch for the game from nba live sites and the ea update needs the original file, so you can get the original file and then you update the game and then you can reinstall the patch again
