I got both Okafor & D. Howard on my team...

Hi all,

I play with Memphis dynasty using the earliest roster update from NLSC.
After a few games or so, I found that my team is lack of PF. So I started to look around the league for big men.

My target was talented young players with low salary (just like everyone does).

I tried some deal with different team but didn't succeed. Finally, I tried once again with Orlando. I proposed to trade Shane Battier and Dahntay Jones for D. Howard.

They accepted it! Great! (but it would NEVER happen in the real world, right?)

Then I played through many games and coming to Januray (in the game).
I now focus on the Salary in my team.

Gasol will become Free Agent this summer. I have to save some money for him. Watson , Well & Swift will become free agents too.
I figured out Swift will ask for a similar salary as Gasol but I couldn't resign all these free agents at the same time.
So I tried to find out another PF/C to replace Swift in the rest of the year (and hopefully could stay with the team longer).

I tried Amare Stoudemire at the beginning, rejected.

Then I tried Okafor FOR FUN, I proposed Swift & Tsakalidis for Okafor & a rated 32 player (sorry i forgot his name).
DEAL!!

It suprised me a lot that the trade is accepted. And I got the #1 & 2 rookies on my team and obviously they will grow up year by year.

Though I have a very good team right now, I am quite disappointed about the AI of the CPU team...

any other weird trades you have? :P

You do know you can sign all your free agents for however much they want in the offseason. Even if your 18 million in the hole you can resign your free agents but not the free agents from other teams.

But back to the weird trade question I played with the Lakers and in my 2nd year i traded Teirre Brown, Slava Medvidenko, and Brian Cook for for Amare Stodamire and Joe Johnson. I didnt think it would go through because Brown was like a 57, Slava 61 and Cook 63 And Amare and Johnson are both above 70 so i thought it was cool

I'm sure you can't resign your players for the minimum

really ?? I don't know too much about the salary caps thing so maybe I made the wrong decision..

But back to the weird trade question I played with the Lakers and in my 2nd year i traded Teirre Brown, Slava Medvidenko, and Brian Cook for for Amare Stodamire and Joe Johnson. wow ~
you traded 3 bench players for 2 starters ?
cool

actually I put Pau as the starting Center.
anyway, my team has Pau, Wright, Swift and Tsakalidis to play for PF/C but I'd never use Tsakalidis as he is not good (in the game).
So I used to rotate those 3 players a lot.
Therefore I think I need another reserve (or starting) PF
