Adjusting dynasty points?

Postby Cameron on Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:34 am

I was just wondering if there is a file or something where you can adjust the amount of dynasty points the game gives, or how much things cost. Because I play 4 min quarters (I like the short games) and I can't get near enough points to scout or anything fun like that.

My other idea was to play full games intervene simming, and just play for the last quarter or something. But then i don't get all my subs and stuff. Either way, I'd rather the short quarters.

Any ideas?

Yeah, in your dynasty save folder there's a dbf file that controls all of that. I can't remember off the top of my head what it's called ... dynasty.dbf or something maybe? Have a look and you should find it, the name is pretty obvious.

The tasks go in the order you see them in the game, one column for the amount of X you need to achieve the goal (eg points, rebounds, etc) and another column for how many points are awarded for it.

I didn't have luck on this.

Editing the file tasklist.dbf does not alter the dynasty points rewards (e.g. lowering the 1700 points scored by a player in a season, which is way too hard in a 29 games season), nor the points required for training (e.g. setting the team training cost to 1500 points instead of 2500).

Even editing *all* tasklist.dbf files in all folders does not reflect what you edited. This should be embeeded in some other(s) file(s).

LOL i had a guy send me an e-mail asking if I was Baron Davis....

Anyway to the last post by Babouisi.... I find it works for me, but for some reason if you copy a tasklist.dbf from one save file to another it doesnt take affect in the new one :|

Good point match_66

I edited a tasklist.dbf file and then copied it over the others and it didn't work. I'll test editing files one by one (I think the key file is located in the workingdb folder).
