It depends. You want to win many championships or you want realism?
If you want realism, then you must go a step further. You are not satisfied with Jamison but if the Clippers are very satisfied with Maggette and Seattle with Lewis, and those teams have no real need for a player like Jamison as they might already have a similar player(s). Then they would refuse. If you are honest enough, look at their age and current stats, would you be satisfied with Maggette if you were the Clippers GM? Would you prefer Lewis or Jamison if you were Seattle GM?
NBA Live trades mostly takes into consideration current rating, salary, and the little green bar in the trade section. In real life, teams might be overjoyed with their current stars. In fact, most stars are acquired through free agency or sign-and-trade when FA. Or like your Jamison scenario (or Vince Carter scenario) unhappy with the status quo, but in this case, like the Vince Carter scenario, the team trading the star receives much less in return.
I mean, in the game, you can trade Carter for Maggette, but in real life the Clippers would not have made this deal and Raps got the 2 Williams and a pick from the Nets... not Jefferson and a pick... or Jason Kidd... just 2 Williams at 60+, a big contract in Morning, and a pick... see what I mean?!
Or go for Maggette or Lewis, win many championships, but everybody can do that... not much realism there.
Whatever you decide to go for, good luck to you!
