My system and specs, what's the problem?

Here are my computer specs:
Intel P4 3.2
1GB RAM
256 ATI 9800XT video card
windows xp pro

What are the best settings to run this game on?

I've run the game and it still does not have the smoothness that my xbox has. What is the problem? Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

should run flawless with everything maxed out. It does on my system and I have 3200+ 64bit, 1Gig ram and FX5900 128mb.

Nice rig you have out there whou2. R9800XT is a very good card. It's the highest card behind the Radeon X800XT. You should have no problems running simulation games like NBA Live 2005.

My suggestions are, provided that you have the latest official or tweaked Catalyst drivers, try increasing your screen resolution until what your monitor can support. An 800x600x32 or a 1024x768x32 is not good enough for your standards. Perhaps you can increase more to 1152x864x32, 1280x700x32, 1280x768x32, 1280x800x32 upto 1280x1024x32 at maximum detail. In this way, you can increase the smoothness of the graphics more than the Xbox. The Xbox, afaik, has just a GeForce 3 or GeForce 4 in it. Your graphics card is far higher than that.

Nice setup. Try installing the latest catalyst drivers.
Go into the ATi control panel
Right click on desktop-->click properties-->choose settings tab-->click advanced---> 3D settings tab.
The drivers should have the graphics card running at application preference in Direct3D and OpenGL.
Click the "Use custom settings" box, then click the "Custom" button.
Then adjust the AA and AF sliders. The higher the sliders go the better. Do this for both Direct3D and OpenGL because i dont know if NBA live 05 is a D3D or OpenGL game.
i've got mine set to 4x AA and 4x AF. I guess with your system you can set it to the max. but try it out and then tweak to get playable frames.
