Overtime

Postby jaredsox on Thu Dec 16, 2004 8:42 am

Hi Guys,

I hope that something was overlooked by me, but is the overtime period set at 12:00 minutes. I can not find anywhere to set it at 5:00, unless the NBA has changed their overtime.

Thanks,
Jay

I understand that it should be 5 minutes, but how do I change it in the game. I did an intervention of a game and the overtime defaulted to 12 minutes.

what we were saying is that it shouldn't be doing that. my game doesn't. it does 5 minute overtimes. i don't know what you need to change. cause it's not an option you CAN change. hopefully a tech guru will see this and know maybe what the problem is.

EDIT: as a matter of fact, i just played a 12-minute quarter game that went to OT the other day, and the overtime was 5 min.

the problem is when Intervening a simulation with Overtime, the overtime period will be however long you set the quarters. I play 8 min quarters and when I was simming my team went into Overtime, I decided to play the game and the overtime length was 8 mins long

well then if that happens again.........say you sim and see it go to OT...switch your settings to 5 minute quarters. i would think that would do the trick.

Unfortunately you can't change your settings once you have started simulating.

This is a bug and it has been discussed in the bug thread. It happens only when you simulate all the 4 Qtrs and then jump in to play the OT.

If you simulate to the 3rd and then jump in to play the 4th...and it goes to OT...then it will be a regular 5 minutes OT.

Just stop being lazy and play at least the 4 Qtr :D
