CPU Assistance on

Played all the lives from 96-2002 and then had a break (funds dry up when you have children)
Recently bought 2005 and am wondering what CPU Assistance does, is it the old Keep scores close setting or something else?

but cpu assistance to yes to keep the scores close, there wont be any large lead without the losing team making a big run...
