"Better late than never" NBA Live 2005 Review

Postby Andrew on Sat Dec 04, 2004 7:03 pm

(I'm going to be lazy and repost what I wrote on the main page)

It's a little late and coming in between the retrospective reviews, but I've finally completed a review of NBA Live 2005. If you're still debating whether to get the game or just want to see what I think of this year's game, then I suggest you give it a look. ;)

a couple of issues? i think he means the lack of fun and the lack of a good game.

Good review (y) but a comment on the slow pass, catch, stop, then move animations should've been mentioned. I find one of the most frustrating things about the game is making a slow pass to a wide open player who takes his time "catching" and gathering the ball before he can attack the basket. You'll never see Amare Stoudemire do that ;)

Your views have been made clear a number of times. Please take the hint.

Thanks for the comments guys. (Y) I did omit a few details as I'm reviewing the game a little late. But you are certainly right, that is a problem with the fastbreaks this year.

As it happens, I've just released my sliders today. A word of warning: while I've achieved good results with these settings, they may not work for everybody. They should at least provide a base to tailor them to your style of play though.

i have to agree the passing to an open player needs to be fixed. it should happen occasionally but not by good passers.
