I play with this off, but exactly what does it do?

yep. for example, say you're beating the hell out of the computer, it will kick in and make it harder for you to keep beating the hell out of the computer so the game is more fun.

It should be noted that the CPU will be able to mount a comeback if you ease up too much, even if this option isn't enabled. CPU Assistance does make their comeback a little more aggressive though, and also gives the user a boost if they are behind (which the "comeback code" does not).

I have it off, but I would have to say that the comeback code is not a comeback code like it was in Lives 2004 and 2003... The CPU doesn't just start making threes with a six footer in the face of a seven footer like in Live 2004... That just sucked BTW...

Computer goes on a run... I can go on a run... You can usually end a run by calling a timeout... Just like in real basket ball. I've caught up the CPU with a run many times and have seen the CPU get on a run many times as well... Going 11-2 or 12-0 or something like that... Timeouts really seem to make a difference in this way. Which is nice.

I have to admit that CPU does sometimes make an awful lot of contested shots in a row... And it gets a bit annoying, but you can end the run with a timeout and changing the players abit... Changing the point man seems to effect this alot too. I had LBJ in one dynasty mode and while he was out there everyone was playing better and when he was off, the whole card building started crashing down... Just read what Eric Williams said after his first game with Kidd on the floor.

Live 2005 does actually resemble real basket ball quite well... Only big problems are the massive amounts of blocks in the low blocks especially with the hook shot, it should just be harder to make when a guy challenges rather than giving a block almost everytime... The thing when CPU just pushes your guy over the sideline... It's quite close to the real thing...

CPU assistance always off... That's what I was saying
