Yes and no. Yes, it's the first year we have a great deal of control over the offensive rebounding. Tip ins have of course been around in some form for the whole series.

I've still not gotten used to tipping in the ball after a shot, i still go for the rebound and either pass out or go back up for a shot. Come to think of it, i've never even attempted to tip in.

Tips are way easier to get than pulling down offensive rebounds. In general, over 50% of the boards my PF and C get are offensive, just due to tips. Ya, its unrealistic - but hey, it works.
Btw, I play with default sliders (cept for fatigue which is at 50).

if you just wanna pull off reb, hold(dont release) the jump button.
