Injuries in Dyansty Mode

Postby Mick on Fri Nov 26, 2004 7:56 am

I'm currently playing a dynasty with Cleveland (with a few trades) and I've managed to injure both my starting Cetentre and Power Forward plus the reserve Centre and Power Forward. Hence Big Z, Dwight Howard (traded for Gooden + extra), Chris Mhim (traded for.. can't remember now) and Robert Traylor are all injured. Big Z and Mhim are totally out, while Howard and Traylor are playable, but performance is down. I've also had injuries to James and Snow, yet they have recoverd. I'm only 18 games into my Dynasty (12 min quarters). This is the second time Big Z has been out as he was sidelined for about 8 games earlier in the season. I'm starting to feel like I should be operating the Indiana Pacers.

I'm currently running Horace Grant and Olden Polyniece (or however you spell it) as my centres. While I'm thrilled that HG is getting some game time, it sucks that my team is down their quality big men.

Is it the way I play which is causing these injuries or just some questionable luck? I'm using some sliders which I pulled from the slider message board (I think they are fgrep15's - Superstar sliders - thanks fgrep15!).

Any advice / your own injury plague stories would be welcome.

Cheers,

Mick

i think its just bad luck, sometimes in this game it seems like you either got alot of injuries or you get none at all. im luck enough to not have any seriouls injuries so far this season.

I have had some injuries... It takes bad luck and you've certainly had that... But getting injured in the game seems to require hard contact under the hoop so the bangers that play under the hoop are more likely to get injured than the three point shooters.

This might be reflected in the game... Also the hardiness rating should be checked... If it's low the player will more likely get injured.

i started doing a full season with boston but got bored and quit it but marcus banks was backing up payton really well in regualr season matches and when payton got injured in one game and was out for 7 weeks marcus banks stepped up big time and became a great support player for pierce. So sometimes good things can come from injuries...damn i wish i never deleted that season!

I think injuries this year are the best so far, I heard a lot of different stories, people having no injury at all, people having lots of injuries and people with some...Can it get more realistic than this???

As to my dynasty, I had Mike Miller out for 6 days + other 6 days, and Shane Battier out for a full 2 weeks. Those two really had an impact on my record as I had no back-up for Posey and Wells. Again...can it get more realistic than this???

Good job EA.
