mmm...it's not zero. i can't remember which is which, but if it's -1 change it to 1. if it's 1 change it to -1

i think that should do it (sorry if i'm wrong)

It used to be 0 - a value of -1 would point to player specific bands in the .viv files, but I guess that's no longer the case. Try DFP's suggestion.

Their bands are included in their skin file (tattoo file) so there is no way of getting rid of them.
