what is his salary and length like? i would think he might be attractive to someone like the Bucks or 76ers...or maybe a team with a practically empty roster such as the Bobcats or Hawks. welcome to the boards (Y), hit me up on AIM anytime

well ruben has a salary of 5.90M and 2 years remaining on his contract...he has an overall rating of 60 so he ain't a totally crap player i guess...
I dunno wouldn't mind trying to trade him for a big man, maybe a PF, though not sure

any suggestions?

cheers

hm....are you wanting a player for some immediate impact, or one to develop over the years? if you want someone to develop, i might suggest trying to dump ruben on the Bulls for one of their big men (Curry, Chandler, etc....)..........just an idea- trades are easier to make realistic with the Bulls because they're always eager to trade everyone in real life

To be honest, I doubt the Bulls would give up Curry for that combination. They could get more for him.

I have traded George Lynch (and Bryce Drew for cap purposes) in NBA Live 2004 for Ruben Patterson. This will now not be so easy, since Patterson is making way more than Lynchs 3 Million a year. But regardless of the salary, Lynch should be about as good as you can get for Patterson.

Oh .. and welcome to the boards :).

I doubt that the Bulls would trade Curry for a big contracted SF who can't really do much on the bball court any more, and a big man in Stepania who isn't that useful at all. But you can do the trade if you want to.

well the trade for curry didnt go through and now that i think about it, it wasnt very realistic, so now i am back to square one...do u reckon patterson and maybe one or two other players for Bender is a better way to go?
i welcome any feedback, im having a trading crisis!!!!

cheers!

trying for realism wont ever happen in the game. basicly its realistic by your own point of view. would you say it was realistic for someone to trade abdur rahim for carter and rose? no, people would probably saying he is playing unrealistic and trying to be cheap. hell the comp would not even accept it. the only realistic means i follow is if i am making a 3 for 3 trade, i wont send 2 pg's to a team that already has 2 pgs while taking thier only center in the deal. thats basicly the only rule i tend to follow as for realism. i have other trade rules i limit myself to like if i sign a free agent i cant trade him for 1 full year and if i trade for a player i cant trade him til that season is over atleast.
