The "stepping on the line" 3 pointers suck

Postby Full Surface on Sat Nov 13, 2004 8:58 am

This problem has been in NBA Live as long as I can remember. It's amazing how this type of glitch can't be fixed when we've complained about it numerous times already. I've lost two games so far when the opponent has stepped on the line and it was counted as a 3 pointer as time expired. Just an annoyance.

Yeah that's something I noticed when I got 2004. It's really one of my biggest gripes.

athough I heard many people complaint about this glitch before, I didn't found this be too obvious in the previous version.

HOWEVER, I find that it's very very obvious this year. The player steps half his foot on the line but it still counts as a 3.
Moreover, the game auto-replay this shot and I can definitely see that he's stepping on the line.

it doesn't bother me, it could just be a glitch in the graphics and the actual player in behing the line. Now ,lets get realistic about this , a game cannot be perfect and something like this cannot be erased.

I disagree. If a player can make a dunk where the ball is perfectly positioned into the net, then I'm sure EA can tweak the three point line count.

I don't think so, they do (or overdo) the stepping out of bound issue correctly but messed up in the 3-pt line implementation.

I mean, 3pt is a key of bastetball game.

I wouldn't mind if the players step on the line with only a toe on it. But this time they put their feet on it.

What i hate is when i get doubled inside and i pass the ball to an open player on the corner of the court, he usually is not behind the 3 point line! it's difficult to move behind the line at that spot bec its very close to the out of bounds line.
