Alley oops in a regular season game? (xbox)

Does anyone know how to do any alley oop in a regular season game (xbox)? I can do it in practice, but I can't do it in a game. Is it possible? If so, how?

u mean self alley oop? well u can only do that in practice, all-star game (soph v frosh, east v west) modes

no, i mean alley oops to other players. I try to use the alley oop button, but it doesn't work (it just does a normal pass to the guy closest to the hoop).

You cannot throw an alleyoop to yourself in regular games, only in the All-Star Game, Rookie Challenge and Practice modes. In regular games you can certainly throw alleyoops to your teammates but unless they are in a good position, you will either throw the ball out of bounds or simply feed them the ball in the post.

For Xbox I believe it's the right trigger button.
