3pt contest no longer starts

All otehr parts of the game (practice, Slamdunk, Exhibition, etc. work perfectly. Everytime I try to run the 3pt contest however, I get the Voshon Lenard loading screen, and when the loading bar is filling I crash to my desktop. It's not my drivers, Everything is current as of 3 days ago.

My specs:

P4 3.06GHz, 1MB L2, 800FSB
Intel 865PERL motherboard
512MB Kingston DDR400
OC'ed Asus 9200se
80GB 7200rpm Western Digital HD
Windows XP professional SP2
Catylyst verion 04.10

Everytime I think I might be over the hump some more bullsh*t happens that makes me question why I paid 40 dollars for this unstable piece of garbage.

don't overclock your video card - that may be it; not sure why, i just know that o'cing vid cards can cause things to not work properly. i'd try that and see if it works. let me know how it goes.

Thats the thing that is bothering me... I was able to run all modes just fine with my card OC'ed. Then after a restart from installing office xp, It just wouldnt work anymore.

Makes no sense at all to me. Now it can run it in exhibition mode, but it still doesnt work in my dynasty. I'm going to delete and restart a new dynasty to see if that fixes anything. thnx for suggestion.

yeah I noticed that 3pt shootout doesn't work in my dynasty, even though it works from the main screen... what could be wrong here?
