`How many shooting styles are in the game (im not talking about the 3 point contest) To me they look al the same (maybe im blind) Can someone name 2 players with a complet different shooting style??

And btw is the dunk still in the game when a player is hanging on the rim and than slaps the backboard?? that was my favourite in 2004 i hope they didnt take that out.

Ya, I thought they would make them have different shooting styles seeing as they were the top contenders in the three-point contest.

As far as that dunk is concerned, its possible that you can get a tech for slapping the boards now. I know firsthand that rule is in college since last year, when I played for Kean University, I was hit with a tech for doing it. Had no idea the rule existed until then though.

Those shooting styles are driving me nuts though... because all of the players are shooting dirrently... its nearly impossible for me to get my timing right. Quite irritating when you release too early or late because you dont realize who you are shooting with.

Actually ALL shots in the game have the SAME timing.

I think that's a good thing, so we can eventually get used to the timing and know when to release our shot.

I'm somewhat glad they took it out because that happened too much in 2004, but at the same time I did like that dunk. If it happens once every few games, then that would be great.

yup..that would hold true..but one thing i've noticed..if you try a mid-range fadeaway from the baseline..if you release a little later than the regular release point it doesnt sem to matter...

i've had atkins nail a fadeaway with a pretty late release and then done the same with madsen ! no clue why. I'm not even sure madsen can pull a stunt like that.

I dunno, maybe the timing is the same, but it feels like maybe the delivery takes longer? It feels like some players have quicker releases, namely vreated players, and some o the other guys have a little wind up to their shot.

Thats what it feels like, but if thats not the case I guess I just need to practice more.

i think its more of just practice !! So far i've gone 6-15 fga with Tim Duncan on All-Star 1 on 1 and 6-18 fga with Kobe trying to figure out the exact release point for leaners/fadeaways from different angles on court.. and thankfully their shots DO look unlike each other !!

Thats good though, but now I want to know how to change my vreated players shooting style. I've used ray allen's jumpshot pretty much as a blueprint for my real life j ever since i watched him play at conneticut like 10 years ago. If i could shoot like him in the game it feels only fitting.

maceo..

if you're runin on a PC..i do think thats possible...i read somewhere that you can there is a hidden attribute in some .dbf file which defines the shooting style of players...am not entirely sure of whether that was specific to only players who participated in three point shoot out...but it wouldnt hurt to ask around..i'm positive there wass something that could edit the shooting style of a player...if i find anything i'll let ya know..
