HELP ME PLEASE, game resizes desktop!

Hey guys, i play like on the highest resolution and i got my PC on hgighest resolution, but whenever i play and exit, the desktop goes to 640 resolution, the biggest one. Whats going on? And it moves all icons around

Does this happen once or all the time? It might happen occasionally if it doesn't happen again, but if it happens all the time then I"m not sure what's causing it (graphic card drivers?). The Live GUI is in 640x480 and I guess the program, O/S or drivers "forgot" to switch back to your normal desktop resolution.
