Saving Player and Game Stats

I haven't got the game yet myself, but someone from my online league has.

And he is unable to find anywhere where you can save stats, this is in exhibition mode by the way. Here is screen of the player stats screen at the end of the game and as you can see there is no save stats button.

There are not enough emoticons to express the anger, shock and confusion i am feeling right now..

I'm in two NBA Live leagues on the net that rely almost WHOLEY on saving the stats of the game... if this is true... these leagues are down the fucking drain... i spend SO MUCH TIME into these fucking leagues... and EA... those pot smoking fuckwits have left out save player stats. Oh my god. All that trading for nothing. This year's NBA Live smokes the cock... just for the mere reason of leaving this out... FUCKEN IDIOTS EA! I mean, i love the game... but FUCK!!

This game remains so popular because of the fact that it's released on PC, which allows people to patch it play online leagues etc otherwise its a 4 month of enjoyment game like all the others. I can't believe they fucked this up.

I hope they read this so they can hang their heads in shame.

It seems its a sad day for leagues world wide....AGAIN!!!

I remember they did this once before - years ago....eventually made a patch for the game - but it took a long time to be released.

Can those who have the game please have a play around and confirm that it is NOT possible to save player stats from a game.

Cos if this is true then EA has completely and utterly SCREWED all NBALive leagues.

I believe the ongoing popularity of the series can be largely attributed to 2 things: 1) the ability to make patches 2) leagues.

Leagues keep people's interest in the game going year round....I'm buggered if I'd be buying the game every year if we weren't using it for league play.

If this is true, then its a VERY poor effort from EA to overlook this AGAIN!

I'm starting to get a feeling that this is why there was no interview--it seemed like the game was just released to be released. With this problem and the custom art fiasco in the other thread--it's times like this someone from EA Canada needs to really step up and help the community, instead of standing behind the crowd and being quiet.

EA, we know you scroll these boards--please answer your fanbase.

I'm not in an online league since I'm too busy with school, but I'm very surprised that EA overlooked the stat saving feature which is so valuable to online leagues. It's really pathetic how if they come out with a minor addition that draws great compliments then remove it the following year, like the halftime stats (but now it's quarter by quarter, which is excellent!) I'm sorry about the online leagues, but I'm hoping EA will release a patch (although rare) to fix that up, and other minor issues that will potentially arise. I'm gonna get the game soon when I have time to get out of this place and hit Future Shop, so I'll be posting a big review in a couple months or so.

Damn Gamespy.. they should really fix these frustrating server issues. Anyway, my somewhat original post:

I'm sorry that EA didn't do a good job involving the online league community, and they should address that with a patch, although EA releasing a patch is rare. I get the game as soon as I can get out of this place and hit Future Shop, so I'll post a big review in a couple months or so.

Damn... Why is it that they take out some of the better features in the user interface??? I reckon it has a lot to do with consoles... I remember when you didn't need to highlight a column and then hit the sort button, you just needed to click the column header and stuff was sorted. Little touches usually make a sh*t load of difference... 1/4 by 1/4 stats... they were awesome... no more: remember that game when I got that triple double? oh yeah, look at these 4 screen dumps of the stats... :evil:

there is also one other thing. You can not see options of the game (fatigue, fauls...) which are defined by host of the game.

If you think NBA Live is the only game EA has fucked over...

If anyone of you played NHL 2004, you were expecting something much better in NHL 2005...EA left out 2 of the best things about the game.
Multiplayer online gameplay and Online league mode. Not to mention 50% of all game controllers didn't work properly in the game. Let's just say I uninstalled the game after 2 days of frustration.

Not to mention, I also run an NBA Live league, and all hopes and intentions of running a NBA Live 2005 league has pretty much gone down the drain. Let's hope and pray EA has a patch coming out very soon.

Ppl, got the game yesterday and you can save stats (I dunno about online, but you can in single player... Its not in the stats during the game, but after you go back to the schedule and view boxscores... there's a save button to save automatically to the directory... btw boxscores are brilliant.... all on one screen.. yes! Thank you EA for bringing back stats by quarter too! (This is in a dynasty mode... i dunno about exhibition tho...)
