sliders to simulate how players think and teams play?

there seems to be a "want" in sports gaming for the virtual teams and players in videogames to play like their real counterparts. so a suggestion for giving gamers a more simulated experience is to add specific tendancy sliders for the teams and players. of course whats being suggested will take lots of individual researching (maybe the nba live community can help out) but it would help the computer opponents play their proper roles when playing against the cpu... there should also be an option to turn off all these sliders at once for those who just don't want the game to be too simulative.

like how each player has their own sliders that represent the players skills. each team will have sliders to represent their tendancies.

team tendancy sliders 0-99
close range shooting frequency
midrange shooting frequency
long range shooting frequency
zone defense frequency(3-2, 2-3, 2-2-1, 2-1-2, and so on)
man to man defense frequency
player rotations frequency

player tendancy sliders 0-99
physical player
finesse player
slashing frequency
off the screen shooting frequency
short range shooting frequency
midrange shooting frequency
long range shooting frequency
passing frequency

and lastly... additional player sliders that should be considered.

additional ratings for players
athleticism
aggressiveness
collision recovery speed

what do you all think?

Interesting, but I think some of those sliders would be better off as player attributes and ratings. The style of each team's play would depend on their roster, just as it does in real life.

you're right andrew.

their should be some slider or some sort of AI that helps the computer run specific plays for specific people. just last night i tried playing against the 80's all-stars, and i was horribly frustrated at how larry bird didn't get teh ball much and took just one three point shot. and this one shot was just on a fastbreak.. i mean, man, how freaky can it get when the birdman doesn't get the ball?

I agree although it's a great idea in theory.

Yes, though both ratings are visible in Create/Edit Player.
