i read in the interview that spud webb is in the game to be in the dunk contest, i wonder who else they are bringing back. hopefully all of the dunk contest winners from the past such as:
dr. j
larry nance
terrance stansbury
kenny "sky" walker
dominique wilkins
michael jordan
dee brown
harold miner etc.

I'd say that MJ, Nique and Dr J will be there since they're part of the Legends/Decade All-Star teams anyway. Spud has been announced and Dee Brown has been mentioned as a judge, so perhaps he's also in the game as a dunking legend.

Since they have many NBA legends and dunks in NBA Street Vol.2, they can just use the same animation in NBA Live 2005 that would be so cool!~

Let's not forget the first man to dunk between the legs (in the NBA at least), Isaiah Rider.

Maybe they will set up a Dunk Legend team with all the players who had a great leaping ability :)

MJ won't be in the game this year, and neither will Isiah Rider. The reason for MJ is because he didn't join the Retired Players Union, and because of that, EA SPORTS can't use the rights for him. That's why Kareem is never in the game. MJ was in last year's version because they can use them in the year after they retire, but not more than that. Isiah can't be in there because I think the player's union kicked him out or something. Regardless, they said that Isiah Rider wouldn't be in the game.

I didn't look to see who the other classic dunkers were, sorry. :embarassed:

yeah i heard jordan was not in nba street 3 either. thought it was odd at first but now that you say this it makes sense. to bad we probably wont ever get to use jordan for real in a bball game again.

That's a shame. :( Still, I'm sure the patchmakers in the community will be able to take care of that pretty easily.

Hmm...I thought he signed that "Exclusive Rights" contract to EA Sports games back for Live 2000...maybe it was only for 5 years...still a shame tho... Patchers will definitely work on that :D

Such a shame...

I've played as the 1996 bulls in Live ever since i first started playin live. (which is live 2000)

Hopefully the announcers can still say the name Jordan so i can just create him...

I don't remember all the legendary dunkers in the game either but I do recall the EA guys saying Harold Miner can't be in the game either for legal reasons :(...

I know that Spud Webb will be available to play in the contest but i don't know if he will judge.
BTW does anybody know if Spud will be available for any other game modes? I don't think his career was quite good enough to be on the 80's or 90's all star teams
