Who's started a franchise on the PC version?

I just started a franchise with the Celts. I went to play my first game, whupped the Heat, then the game crashed out of nowhere as soon as I hit quit in the game recap screen. I was pissed for a second, but wishfully hoped that it was a one time thing.
I started a new franchise with the Celts, deleted the first one I made, and replayed the first game vs. Miami. Worked fine, no crashing.
I went to continue my franchise this evening, vs. Memphis in the 2nd game. In the middle of the 3rd quarter after I shoot a free throw, the screen goes white, pauses, then dumps me back into windows. I'm REAL pissed at this point.
I made some adjustments to music files I have been dicking around with, and put them back to their original files. I started the same franchise again, and the game vs. Memphis again.
Midway through the 2nd quarter, I'm on a fast break with Kedrick Brown, and ONCE AGAIN the game crashes, leaving me in white screen hell in 800x600 mode.
Really, REALLY frustrating for me, because the gameplay is really fun for this game.
Has anybody else started a franchise, and if so, have you experienced any problems whatsoever? Basically, I want to know if this is possibly a problem across the board, or somehow only on my end. One way or another, I really want to fix this problem, because this game is too good to go waste over some stupid possible bug.
