What does the "On-Ball Defense Assist" do?

What does this do exactly? Only the User slider settings have this. I was thinking that this is how much the defensive players team up on the guy with the ball? But then what exactly does the "On-Ball Physical Defense" slider setting do?

I believe it determines how much you can bump your opponents on defense.
