Online play with the PC version

Postby JohnnyKnoxville on Thu Nov 13, 2003 10:07 pm

Anyone played an online game with the PC version yet? Our league will switch to Live 04 asap, so I am wondering:

*) Do freethrows finally work and not turn into a guessing game?
*) How do the sliders work in online play?
*) How's the overall connection and smoothness of online play?
*) Anything special about it (as in "different from offline play")?

Thanks in advance!

how´s it working with the sliders? are both players having the same slider settings or the ones they´ve in their game? if there´s no seperate sliders are the default settings the ones to be used?

*)Free implementation is much better and you can hit a high percentage online.
*) The host sets up sliders.. but only about five sliders can be used for online play. the rest is default. ( I have played like 8 game online. It is pretty good)
*) I am playing at the second best resolution Cable connection. I lagged briefly for about 3 secs for or 5 times in just one out of 8 games played. (The netcode is much better this year.)
*)None that i can think off.
One cool thing is that there is a real time update of quarters and scores of games people are playing in th lobby.

Wait, he can only adjust certain things? What do the rest of the sliders default to, the EA Sports default or the value the host has set them for his offline play?
Does DirectIP work? Because that's what we usually use.

I believe the rest of the sliders are default for either the host or the game default. (I will check when i get home, I am at work now)

I havent tried Direct Ip yet but the option is there right below online play.
