DirectX 9 & Nvidia GeForce Ti4200

Hiya,

Must your video card support DirectX 9 in order to play NBA Live 2004?

Does the Nividia GeForce Ti4200 support DirectX 9?

hmmm I got DirectX 9 installed, but I'm not sure if it'll run NBA Live 2004 if my video card isn't DirectX 9 complient.

i've got a 4200 ti 128 Mo (leadtek) and no this not comptible with directx9
But for live it's very good :cool:

But the system requirements is...

32 MB DirectX 9 compatible video card

so if it isn't compatiable then Im gonna do what Americans do. hahaha, nah jk, but I'll be pissed off.

Your card is DX9 compatible, it just cannot use certain DX9 features. So you will be able to play Live without a problem.

i got a geforce ti4200 and it works very well with live and plus the new drivers are supposed to make it compatible with directx9, well it says

but all in all my card runs nice with it

Your card will hold the game pretty good, but i think you need to add atleast another 256MB RAM to your computer.

900MHZ is very decent, but could use some more for better quailty and smoother image.

i think so but your must put down the details of the texture and the environnement and put crowd animation off and i think it will be good :cool:

I have PIII 933
512 RAM
GF3 (not Ti) 64mb

it runs great on 800x600x32 at high details, taht with my PC cranked up with only 100 megs free on XP :p

havent tried with more, dont need it nyway its good nuff for me

GeForce FX cards and up support all the features in DX 9.

Radeon 9500 and up support all the features of DX 9.

What this means is in games like Halo, you get to see all the graphical details the developer intended you to see. If you have another card, you will still see good stuff, just not everything the developer intended you to see.

Technically, DX9 has alot of features that developers are using to make the game looks better graphically. such as shades, shadows and that kind of stuff.
Cards from FX5200 up, and Radeon 9500non-pro up, support DX9 like you said, so that's why the DX9 is so important to the gamers.

Graphics are built on many of the features DX9 has to offer, and if you want to enjoy them, you need the right card for it.

I am running the game at max res and detail with:
celeron 2.2
512 ram
and a pci 64mb ati radeon
and it runs super sweet, far better than 2003 which would not run at max with this video card
