For graphics tuning - RivaTuner

Postby RashbaNor on Wed Nov 12, 2003 11:54 am

While reading NLSC forum I've noticed that many of you, guys, have problems with configuring in-game graphics and tuning your video cards.
So I decided to give you a little advice.

Download this nice tool:
http://www.nvworld.ru/downloads/rivatuner.zip
It's the last build of RivaTuner.

This great utility can overclock your video card and configure almost every aspect of Direct 3D rendering and OpenGL rendering which is controlled by graphics card driver.
You can check every setting by clicking right mouse button and selecting "What's this?".

Here are the features of RivaTuner:

Here is RivaTuner's FAQ:
http://www.nvworld.ru/docs/rt_faq_e.html

Bad news for ATI users, RivaTuner is made with nVidia cards in mind.
I hope that this will help some of you. If you've got any questions about graphics, just ask.

Thanks for the good links :). The good thing about those who do have ATI cards, is that most now have the higher versions, so no need to OC ;). I have a Radeon 9700 :D.

You could always use the rage3d tweak from http://www.rage3d.com for Ati cards :)

If I overclock it, wouldn't I risk overheating and damaging my card? I'm using a nVidia GeForce 3 Ti2000. Thanks for posting the tool :)

Yes you would but it's minor, especially when you can control the OCing. I wouldn't OC when you're not playing though.

Just don't over-do it and it'll be fine.
When you see artifacts stop. Simple as that :)

You should never do anything to your CPU that you do not know what you are doing!

And I don't think you need to over clock for NBA Live! Some other games maybe, but not this.
