I was look over DUBA excel sheet for the player ratings (thanks by the way.). And I was wondering, way does Live have Shaq with the highest FG. I understand that his range is only 12' but Shaq is only limited to Dunks and Posts moves. His Dunks and Inside Scoring is correct at 99 for both, but 99 FG isn't correct. And when look at this list of the top 46 or so FG ratings I notice two names not even rated at 80. Kobe is one but Rip Hamilton is probably one of the top 5 Jump shooters (inside the arc) in the league. It list players like Walt Williams who is a good shooter but if he was that good believe me he would be on the court a lot more.

Well, the reason why Shaq's FG is at 99 is because he's one of the higher FG shooters in the NBA. I think that's how the ratings are done, according to FG% rather than the ability to score. The other ratings such as quickness, speed, 3 pointers, range, and jumping makes up for the lower FG I guess. They do list a lot of good shooters here, but some players are higher than others (like Derek Fisher, imo). Kobe should be on the list and Vince should be higher.

Yeah and they didnt even have t-mac up there, i guess his FG% isnt that high but he was the leagues leading scorer! They should have a rating for making hard shots cos dats where tmac gets laods of his points.

That's a little disapointing. I was hoping they would lower the FG of most of the players (Kobe is like 76, right?) I figured most good shooters would be in the 70-85 range). I know many of those players aren't as good shooters as their ratings say.
I also wish Live would use even shorter Ranges for players like Shaq.

Well the thing is they do. But if you give Shaq a high FG what's the use of having a Inside Scoring rating. I see the FG for jumpers and everything inside the arc but outside of 12'-13'. I'm a hugh Dirk fan, but I'm going to be realisitc and say he should not have a better FG than Kobe, Rip Hamiton, Ray Allen, Peja, or Michael Redd. Shaq FG should be about 60 but his inside scoring should stay maxed out and so should he Dunks.

Thank you thats exactly what I'm talking about. AJ Guyton, if he is a 3pt shooter than fine. But his FG should about 60 because he dosen't shoot them. That's like when the had Joe Crispin lst year or the year before. He was the best player on the game because EA made him with high FG and 3's.

This season his FG% is way down but last season he was 46-47%. You correctly point out that he takes some of the toughest shots in the league, so he SHOULD be at the top of the list in FG rating.(as should Kobe)
Pat Garrity 87? That's rediculous... I live in central florida so I get to watch Magic games all season and he is okay but certainly not better than those rated below him. To have him above players like T-Mac, Duncan, Kobe.. makes me wonder if the Madden team was put in charge of the ratings.

You have to look at T-mac like this. He either shoots the 3 or dunks thier is no in between. Thats because of the zone. Same as Jason Richardson. I am a fan of Paul Pierce but I don't think his FG should be that high either. Just because you shot a lot doesn't make you a good shooter (example Allen Iverson / Jerry Stackhouse). It just gives you more chances to make it. Last year was a off year for Paul but this year he has started off the same. His inside scorer should be pretty good for a SG/SF because he a good post up player.

Not true. T-Mac takes a lot of 20 footers in the face of defenders and makes them. He has a solid jumpshot that no defender can stop except maybe Kevin Garrnett, who can match him in both size and quickness.
As a matter of fact, I thought T-Mac could have been more aggressive last season, he didn't really have as many highlight dunks as the season before.
The zone cannot stop T-Mac, but for some reason this year he is afraid to put his body on the line and at least get some free throws. I've watched most of the games this season and right now he either catches the ball and immediately passes it away or shoots a jumpshot. Not very fun to watch considering what I saw the last two seasons.

Yeah your right. But I hope he dosen't catch that nasty case of "vinceIcan'ttaketheballtotheholebecauseImighttouchanotherplayerandgethurt itis". It lasts for about two years. It might in his genes to get it though (sorry
