Want to get larger earned points? Difficult!

What i realize is that you can score/steal/block/pass as hard as you can to earn these points, it has ALWAYS BEEN impossible to earn that 2500 from '100% shoooting' category;

I shoot very carefully, by my players going on fire only, and never shoot if not in a good position...and at most I manage to shoot consecutive 12 shoots only....
the missed 13th shoot is way impossible to miss when it's just a layup under basket with no guards.... I think that is the sort of crab 'AI' like the CPU team suddenly gone mad in 4th quarter and chased back 40+ points and win....they just don't stick to a more realistic life....

Anyone having painstaking experience in chasing points?

I usually don't chase points in the Task List. If I have a chance to get 250 points for having all players score in the game I might do that if it won't jeopardise a victory, but I usually just play the game and if I achieve the tasks...great.

well... that explains everything i guess. the fact that you'll get big points for shooting 20 for 20 fgs is nearly impossible to achieve. as they all say in the beginning, "it's in the game." my strategy though is to have all my players score to get at least 250 pts/game. if my calculations serve me right, i'll be able to get my 10,000 pt jet plane before the all-star weekend and the new locker room before the season ends. i'll just make sure though that my cavs will be drawn into the playoffs.

I do the same too. If I have a large lead in the second half, then i try to let all my players score, the highest Dynasty points in a game i got was 655, that includes a triple double, a double double, and 50 win margin and 70% FG%.

I have a question about the Plane and Lockers, when i buy that do i keep that for the next seasons or do i need to buy those again every year? Same with the Team doctor. I have 20,000 Dynasty points already but i want to be sure before i buy the plane and locker.

If I go point chasing I just play as the 90's all-stars against the bobcats on rookie and easily get 20 shots without missing. however when I'm running out the clock I will sometimes get a wide-open layup and just blow it, then hit myself, then hit the computer then restart and do it again.

You need a minimum of 20 shots. and 2 minute quarters doesn't always work because you don't get the ball enought imes without stoppage. 3 minutes is the way to go.

what you can do is make it rookie level, use a team with good center like lakers or rockets, 2 min/ quarter and dont forget, use a 2nd controller/ use the keyboard for the opponent.

turnover the ball after the opponent inbound pass. then use a smaller defender like using earl boykins to guard yao/ shaq.... be careful for those double teams. they may block your shot.

its kinda cheap shot type.. but if you want points, there you go.

for dynasty, pull-out your starting 4, leave 1 for scoring. because playing them will let them decrease their average.

Does anyone know even when all my players score I don't get the 250 points? I've got this 2 times already, beginning to get fustrated.

EDIT: I couldn't get my points task to get ticked either. T-Mac had 49, but not even the 10 milestone was surpassed according to the task list.

Reason for getting no points after everyplayer scores is that you gotta have TWELVE PLAYERS in total to score... leaving empty roster place in replacement lineup by putting players in the injury list is the usual cause...

Cannot get those 100% shooting points after playing 1 season... but I manage to get the points for 'all players score' nearly 95% times and can build up lots of points...

The max I get in a game is 1050 points...

i have dont it shooting 20 of 20 in an exhibition games. i used lakers against bobctas. i used shaq or kobe to get the points many in fastbreaks. let the bobcats shoot in perimeter then let kobe or shaq run to your hoops while letting george or malone grab the rebound and pass the ball to kobe or shaq for a easy layu-p or dunk. and if you make 20 shots dont shot anymore for the rest of the game. by the way dont shoot if your not open andalways dunk or lay-up no jumpshot. if you can get a shot let them run your shotclock for turnover. i t not importaant to win the game matter is you shot 20 of 20 (but if you can make 100 %fg and win the game it much better)

yeah it's only for one season ... based on what it says. I think u keep the plane but in the next season, they wont add 4 points to ur field goal average

sometimes the tasks dont acknowledge that you have completed them. In an exhibition game i scored a point with all my players and cause i was using the all stars i got a quadrouple double with David Robinson. and none of them registered which pissed me off
