New Freethrow System Needed

I know that by increasing the Freethrow difficulty slider it makes freethrows harder and that is what I do. But, if you have good hand-eye coordination you can still hit all your freethrows or atleast 85% of them with any player regardless of attributes.

What we now need, in addition to the increased speed of the crosshairs for the poor shooters that we already have, is a sensativity to it.

What I mean is say you are shooting freethrows with shaq. The crosshairs move fast but their is a little area where you don't have to align them perfectly to make the freethrow. We need it to be where the poorer the freethrow shooter the closer to dead center you have to align the crosshairs. In my opinion it is not currently that way yet.

Any thoughts?

my thought is that this discussion is already made a long time ago so no new topic is needed, and just as my opinion, the t-meter(the new design with the backboard)is fine by me

Well, my friend, I picked up Live later than everyone else and I didn't see this discussion nor did I think that it was a discussion that would produce a result if I performed a search so I made the topic.

I think this free throw system is fine. Yes - if u really are consentrating 100% - it will go in quite easely, but if u take it more lightly - u will miss them. With the hardest difficult level - in season i get quite poor avarage %. But for some important game i can shoot allmost 100% - i think thats the way it should be.

But we have talked aboutit before - some think that there should be no system at all - that u just press your shoot button and its cpu to decide - is it in or out - that could be quite interesting for a while. But in general the "T-meter" is ok too.

it is true dat da current system is good but it might need a slider to change difficulty or something

That would be sweet. Just make it where you hit the button and the shot would go in or not based on the ratings of the player shooting the ball. Then again that will rule out the possible of the bad shooter coming through in the clutch.

I guess the current freethrow meter is okay when you look at it from that angle.

I like the updated T-Meter system. I've noticed that poorer free throw shooters have a smaller box, and thus a smaller margin of error, in addition to the meter moving much faster. I thought the traditional T-Meter was good, but this is a big improvement. (Y)

What is the difference between updated and old one?

Old one was like a T-Shaped Meter on the side of your screen, and the new one is a T-Shaped Meter on your back-board. Right?

The new T-Meter consists of a light blue box in the middle of the backboard, and two lines, one of which moves horizontally and the other vertically. Both lines must be stopped inside in the blue box to make the free throw.

Better free throw shooters have a larger box, allowing for a larger margin of error. Poor free throw shooters have a smaller box in addition to the lines moving more quickly.

Personally...I think the T-Meter needs to go also...but I would also bring back the Clutch rating...with that the game could still have bad free throw shooters come through in the clutch and good free throw shooters choke...
