marv and czar commentating

does anyone know if the non-english sales versions of live 04 will also have the commentary of marv albert and mike fratello? i´m from germany and certainly won´t buy a game without their commentary.

The commentary will always be the original team. You might get some initial speech with localized language. Something like "Welcome to another exciting game of EA Sports NBA Live 2004. Now let's check in with the announcement team to hear what they have to say about tonights game..." And then the commentators would kick in...

This is how it has worked with NHL games for years already. I don't think you'll get any sounds or commentary from other sources then the original team of marv and czar.

thank you metsis. i was concerned cause easports has a tendency of involving german tv commentators into their german titles (e.g. fifa 2004). don´t know if they had in live 03 because i didn´t buy it but they did have in live 2000, maybe even 2001. but i certainly will buy this year´s title and it´s easier to buy the german version. so i´m glad to hear it. did you always have english commentary in finnish games?

Don't know if this has been fully discussed but... how has the commentary improved besides adding Marv? What are some of your favorite lines that he says in the game? Do they keep the commentary monotone or do they get excited? :roll:

I'm from Austria and the commentary of Live 2003 was half German which sucked...so I bought the original US version...

Smithy, du kannst die US Version wahrscheinlich bei okay-soft.de oder so ähnlich bestellen, falls die URL nicht stimmt, bei Google suchen, irgendwas mit okay, ok oder sonstwas... und Soft...allerdings kostete mich das Teil inkl. Porto nach Österreich 55€, aber es wars mir wert...wenn schon NBA, dann original und nicht die blöden deutschen Kommentare, die mich beim Live 2000 schon genervt haben.

Marv and the Czar are awesome. best commentating in any sports game i've ever heard by far.
If you're a fan of Marv's play-by-play at all then it's almost worth the purchase right there.
seriously, I was getting so bored of Don Poier, so i would have welcomed any change, but getting Marv was just too cool. Totally helps the atmosphere.
They have really cool stuff to say about the game too. And LOTS. the variety and the timely facts about the game are such a treat. I honestly can't say enough about it, but it's probably my favorite thing about the game right now.
And i love what they have to say about the rookies.
I was wreckin shop with Darko the other day and Marv and the Czar started goin off about how much potential he has, etc. he stepped up to the line 3 times and they had something different to say about him each time.
The Carmelo Anthony chatter is sweet too.
Marv gets pretty excited but not overly. I love his trademark 'repeat the guys name after he scores'.
ie. Francis with the shot... YES!... STEVE FRANCIS!
I also notice they talk a lot about defense this year too. Always pointing out when a defender is pressuring guys in to tough shots, makign them adjust their shots, etc...

I think us live fans are pretty spoiled. EA Sports in Canada has one of the best audio teams out there.
Now all they gotta do is get rid of Al Murdock as the stadium announcer.

Anyone have any ideas as to who would be a good PA announcer for next year?

danke mann. werde ich mir auf jeden fall merken, denn ich will auf jeden fall deutsche kommentare. wäre aber cool, wenn man die deutsche version kaufen könnte (vielleicht haben die ja dieses jahr engl. kommentare), weil das natürlich billiger ist.

if anyone can confirm english commentary in the german sales version of live 04 i´d be very pleased.

to read that stuff from the translater gave me a good laugh. very funny to read that weird english with german words mixed in it.
since no one answered my Q i assume nobody really knows if there´s english commentary in the german version???
