Trading for Draft Picks

I've managed to make one trade for a draft pick...every other time the computer hasn't been interested in trades involving draft picks. It's ridiculously hard. Anybody figure this out yet?

I only tried it once and they said they weren't interested because it was too early to discuss draft picks since it was only week 1 in franchise.

I've tried that at the trade deadline and the team said the same thing.

I think it mostly works in february. The cpu is smart enough to say they're not interested in trading picks if you are the #1 team trying to trade to the #29 team.

I've just been fooling around, simulating a Dynasty game with Cleveland to see what's new, and I noticed that Detroit was very interested in my draft picks, and also Zydrunas Ilgauskas. I offered them Ilgauskas for their first round pick, and they accepted.

how do you know if the other team is interested? where do i look

In the Trade Players screen, there is an interest bar next to the draft picks you hold and the players on your roster.

Hey, I've tried quite a few times and eventually manage to make one trade successful!
It's about using Byron Russell (yes, I've put it into Lakers for 'real-life' sake) plus Rick Fox plus 2nd round pick, in exchange of Lebron James plus one player (that i forget his name...oops)...

Of course in real life Clevelands won't trade Lebron for whatever players but I make it a success probably because I've made quite a lot of individual training to both Russell and Fox during my season playing as I earn points... Fox has become my number one 3-pointer with good shooting while Russell has become my starter SF... both have better ratings in offensive aspects after a couple of training...

...probably the Cleveland official in the game thinks it's worthy of getting two key players from LA than to keep Lebron!!!

And I agree with Andrew's suggestion that the 'Interest Bar' is a very good indicator of predicting a success in trading proposals...
When you want to get some great players you desire you just need to sacrifice some players that interest that opposing team!

My situation is Fox has about 70% bar and Russell 80% towards Cleveland... and to be honest I initially don't think cleveland will give up Lebron since it has a near full bar of interest by Lakers....

Just try proposing as much as you can!

No, there isn't a trading block feature where you can make your players available to offers.
