Hey Madhooper! I haven't talked to you in a long time, since Live 2001 was out. Those are some nice screens but are those recent screens or were they taken a long time ago? I also love it how EA Sports sucks up to the superstars and make them so much better than the other players.

I remember I played you and I was running with a 56k modem. It lagged so much! I just got DSL, so maybe I can take you down when the game comes out on PC...

what's up

Postby madhooper on Sat Oct 11, 2003 7:47 am

It's been a while since I've been active in the Live community. I've gotten addicted to Madden.

These screens were all taken from the retail copy EddyMvp rcvd today via Fedex. From the letter from EA that he showed me this is the exact version PS2 owners will buy next week.

Eddy has his PS2 hooked up to his PC so he can get screen shots. Anyone that looks at this should really thank Ed. It's his first day with the game and he's hooking us up instead of being selfish and playing all day.

THX EDDY!

I'm really busy creaing madhooper.com but I'll take a break Sunday and we can play Live 2003.

Holla!

they at least could have made duncan 96 then :P , im kinda disappointed though, i thought the highest rating would be like 87(91 at the max if there are players below 50) or something and only some of the legends could go above that, but ill take the game the way it comes out

Nice site man! "MOVE BITCH" LOL

thanks for the screens any chance for some movies?

The ratings are weird, Kobe's fg is a 75? But his overall is a 97? I guess, things are a little different.

I read over at OS that we can tone down the booming sound when we dunk--can you please check if that's so? If so--that's be cool because I hate that sound when a player dunks.

Seems like people are forgetting that the ratings go from 0-99 now. Kobe's 75 field goal rating is about equivalent to an 88 (87.5) under the old system.

To figure it out...take the new 2004 rating...divide it by 2 (75/2 = 37.5) and add that number to 50 (50+37.5=87.5)...

ok but how do we figure out the overall? same thing like that 97/2=48.5 + 50= 98.5, so that doesn't work.... but what ever, can't wait to make me in the game, i really hope the PC version isn't delayed...

Yeah, I'm not stessing the ratings, just commenting on it. I feel you, I wish the PC version was getting released on the 14th. The PC version is gonna be the best basketball video game this year. That's my word.

I am gonna boost Tim Duncan's ratings because he is the best player in the league.

What I was shocked to see was Steve Nash at a 76 when Finley is an 84?!?!?!

I couldnt agree more with NBA Lives Ratings...

KG and Kobe are better overall than Tim Duncan is, so its really realistic... i bet tim duncan has really good inside scoring and rebound but kg and kobe have a lot more skills

Center position is shallow so TD should be getting higher interest than KG and Kobe. So in a trade, or even in games, some people might value TD as much as KG and Kobe. (I hope that's the case)

Anyway, this screenshot from Madhooper.com (Thanks for the screenies!) might suggest what it looks like when you trade (for) a draftpick.
