Again, I say they should have mentioned Shaq for NBA Live 2002 - he was near impossible to stop.

Actually, I thought dunkers with high speed ratings were harder to stop than slow back up dunkers such as Shaq. Webber, Garnett, and Wallace were impossible to defend if they pumped fake and dribbled in the key and dunked.

I could add Derek Fisher in 2003... Has he ever scored under 30 points in a game? I don't think I've ever seen him do that.
To speak of unstopable guys: In live 2000 I had this one rookie guy who had 3pt fieldgoals 99 and his shooting range was 21' so if you took a step back from the line the AI would not jump up to contest the shot. He just couldn't miss. The simulation thought so too, as the topped the three pointers made category while leading in three point percentage as well. If you have a guy who has made the most three pointers in a season and you tag along with that the league leading 3pt shooting percentage, man that just is incredible. He was da bomb.
This will be a little off topic, but it was mentioned at that site in the link. I remember playing NHL 95... We played it a lot back then. Well I have this friend and always when he played against the Boston Bruins, well he'd have a terrible day. Bryan Smolinski was at his best against him and almost always scored multiple points if not multiple goals. I still remember one play-off game where he successfully checked Smoliski into the injured list, but it was still a tight game and ended up going to overtime. Well it was overtime number 3 or something and guess who was back? You guessed it, Smolinski returned to the ice and immediatly scored the game winner... That was just weird... I never had any bigger problems about this guy and none of my other friends had neither, but this friend of mine just always got wasted by Bryan Smolinski. That's just about as classic as I can get...

Shaquile got mvp in Live 2001 every year because of an error in the simulation system. Somehow the system always used the original player ratings when simulating and thus Shaq did the 32 points, 15 rebounds etc. even when he was overall 65 and 40 years old. This was extremely cool with the young players as they would never score big with the simulation. Simulation worked fine with the created rookies... This was the single fault that still makes Live 2000 the most realistic and thus best Live game to date. Hopefully we will get a new king this year.
And Shaq is good... There's no question about that.

I thought that has more to do with D-stats rather than simulation system itself.

Well, the Dstats are part of the simulation engine.
