You gotta have Quick Time to play them...

Preview trailer:

http://files.ea.com/downloads/sports_vi ... nba_lo.mov (Lo-Res)

http://files.ea.com/downloads/sports_vi ... nba_hi.mov (Hi-Res)

There are also 3 gameplay videos, they are quite different from one to another... One of them has Francis tapping the backboard after dunking... quite cool! (Y))

yeah shouldn't he get a T for that?and how can Fisher dunk?..those are my two main question and also i just notice how can Kobe be block by Yao...there might be a chance of Yao blocking it but i think Kobe is just too smart maybe in real life Kobe will change from a dunk to a lay up..and i've seen Kobe dunk on Yao so itz kinda not real..

if yao blocked shaq 4 times in one game he can defineatly block kobe  ....i just saw the derek fisher dunk :? actually playing the video in slow motion let me see alot of flaws that live 2003 has still in live 2004. One being the post player having his back to the basket and the post defender make an awkward reach for the steal only to have th ofensive player just walk by him for a dunk or layup :? . I think i will have to see ingame footage of the computer teams playing against each other to make conclusion about how better the gameplay is.

The videos are good...i like the ball and arms movement displayed by Nick the quick and mike bibby...The block by Yao on Kobe is really possible in real life so definitely it has to be in the game. The way players reach out and ask for the ball (although i find it awkward that all of them ask for the ball at the same time). Interceptions and steals look good. So is the blocking, at least it doesn't fly all the way to the other side of the court.

...But how come i get the feeling that it seems so similar to that of live 2003? The one handed dunks are still the same, the blocking looks like it could be done with the pressing of the jump button, the "Easy" layup as previously stated by Bredrin, layups happen with the pressing of the shoot button (how i wish we could control the arms or the player and decide which arms to use), Kobe does a 180 after slashing to the hoop, T-Mac does a spin move and dunks - Nash stands and raises both arms when T-mac has already passed him(late reaction?), when someone tries to block a shot, why is it always with one arm and not 2 arms?....

These are just the things i've noticed in the videos. I hope that we get to see the ingame footage soon so that i too will make a better conclusion with regards to 2004.

cheers! :D

Have you ever tried to block a shot??? It is just a thing that needs to be reached for (in real life) and you cannot reach with two hands atleast not enough. In real life no one shoots the ball straight at your face like in the Live games.

But what bothers me about the blocking is that the arm is so rigid and the players don't reach for the ball in Live games. This obviously something that has been thought about in 2004 so I feel pretty confident about that. One other thing... Players always seem to block with the same hand. Atleast the good blockers should block with the hand closer to the ball.

Blocking is hard... It is extremely hard and that is why excellent blockers are appreciated as much as the good scorers. Mt. Mutombo is a legend as is Big Ben, but even they cannot block 5 shots per game. Blocked shots are the next best thing to those wild dunks and buzzer beaters.

Fisher offcourse can dunk i saw how h did it in the game twice
one he dunked one hand from two legs :o
to that block animation is great and i will remind u that this is only game and the player who plays the game should be smart and try to avoid
block during dunk and there will be that possibility in 2004 by making layup :o

hmm i must agree with you :( but it istnt so bad imo

and those black and white are animations in the game?first i thougt
that was real players but then i looked in to the hands wow
i hope that we can do that shot one hand no look shot
love off ball play that jumpin to the passed ball is cool
i like touching the glass by francis
thats true there are plenty moves(dunks) from 2003 but its god that they doesnt remove things just adding new
this defence look nice from that press camera
they rrepared block :D

yeah i've blocked shots before in a real bball game. It does take timing and skill.
Sometimes when we try to stop a driving player from getting to the hoop and when he goes in for a layup or leaner, we jump and meet him in mid-air and extend both of our arms upward as to create a huge wall and disrupt his vision and hopefully getting a piece of the ball with either hand.

Oh well..who knows? maybe they have added new blocking animations or something.

cheers!

the previews looks great (Y) the player animations are pretty smooth but as DaManFromGapo already mentioned, it seems kinda weird when almost every player on the floor asks for the ball at the same time. the post play looks kinda weird as well. but then again, maybe its just me

I loved wen fracis pulled him self up and smacked the glass :D I hope bigmen can smack glass too.

As for Yao blocking Kobe i think that was great cause that aleast shows blocking a dunk especially by a superstar is possible. Plus Kobe jumped from the free throw line so he has a long way till he reaches the rim and Yao was ready and waiting.

Also i know fisher can dunk cause he did it in a Bulls game this past season in LA i remeber cause Jay williams on the Bulls also dunked that game.

I dunno... looks better than Live2003, but still not the best... they don't move as smoothly as in those animations in black&white. Sometimes they still seem to float...
