New Live 2004 movie

Postby donkey33 on Fri Jul 18, 2003 12:19 am

Don't think it's been posted but there's a short live 2004 movie over at operation sports.

It's only 28 seconds and shows Payton and Malone playing together on the Lakers.

I think it looks promising. It only shows a couple of pick and rolls but you can see defenders coming over to help out.

Can't expect much else from a real short clip.

I like the movie, though it's a bit "raw"... Nice moves by the players, and the defense reacts accordingly... (Y)

I can't wait for this game, and don't forget there will be sliders to tweak if needed!

The more I watch it the more promising it looks even though it's a very short clip. I never even noticed Malone's inbounds block before.

It's good how the defense reacts when Malone goes to the hoop. I hope defense if fun like they say it should be.

seen the video....looks promising! :D

looks like the post up move is an unstoppable move from someone like malone. Hope it dosen't end up a cheesy way of getting points, like that of Live 2003. Hope the defense reacts to that play if it is called too often in the course of the ballgame.

the block has been improved...at least it dosen't fly away when swatted. But i think blocking is still done by just tapping the jump button...i wish that we could take full control of a players' arms when we try to block the shot, similar to that when trying to steal the ball...

overall...it's definitely an improvement from 2003...

cheers!

Weird post-up play from malone. I don't think in real life he can blow by tim duncan that easy. But the game looks promising. Still in Limbo....

Yeah the post up play seemed very Live 2003 like... Where you can blow by your defender with ease. And that is just wrong... Most of the time.

It looks good though... Worried about the low-post being too easy to score from.

The block seemed quite good... Malone reaches to the side and gets the block. This has never been possible in earlier Live games. The players have just jumped up and blocked a shot that goes right over his head.

But, well just have to wait and see what EA gives us this year.

Whoops. For a second there, I thought that was Magic Johnson doing that. OK, that's a little more realistic.

The one button plays will probably be the same as NBA Live 2003.
