It will most likely be better. Let's not forget when talking about Live '03 that it's still a very good game. If you hadn't played any Live's pervious to this and didn't come here and see mine and everyone elses bitching (yes we're all bitching) about flaws then you'd think it was pretty damn good. I thought it was alright until I cam here, then I started realizing all the flaws and started to hate it.

Now, about 2004, I've seen the videos and it looks really good. I like how there's a "freestyle package" like the dunk one for each player. That way I can use freestyle with my center and not just drop the ball. :D I also really like having multiple refs (There's three!) and the new free-throw thing. And I hope that was a hard (all-star *crosses fingers*) difficulty because I thought the free-throw lines (I wonder what to call that, I can't say the T-Bar ball, it's the line thing, w/e) were going at a good speed for Juanny. I like how you stay "square to the basket" as the guy said. Also, about Cleveland's court, isn't there supposed to be the secondary logo to the side of the key, the one that's the C with the ball and the sword. Right now they have the full logo and it doesn't look right.

No kidding it's not, and if you were referring to my comment about Cleveland's court, why would they put the wrong logo on when they have access, and could have easily put the right one on?

I think I'm might to stick with Live 2003 on this upcoming year. I might get it still, after it comes out and I find out all the info on it.
Take a look at NHL 2004 compared to NHL 2003, those are some drastic changes. If NBA Live 2004 is like that compared to 2003, it will be a hit fa sho.
The only thing is that if you mastered Live 2003 already, by the time you install Live 2004, you would have mastered that too.

I think Live 2004 will definitely be a superior game. The previews have been encouraging, and sliders will allow us to personally tweak the gameplay to our liking without messing around with player ratings. As Colin said, NBA Live 2003 is still a good game. Address our complaints with Live 2003, add new features and improve existing ones, and you've got a great game.
