Playing NBA Live 2004 on a projection screen?

I recently acquired a Panasonic projector and tried to play NBA Live 2004 on it. The 1 on 1 and individual practices work fine but every time I try to play an Exhibition or regular game, the game crashes before it loads...has anyone else encountered this issue???

I tried changing the in game resolutions and got the same crash....

will the game work on a regular monitor? could just be a patch or something messing up, i dont see how using a projector would affect the game at all unless you've manually edited the exe for custom resolutions

STEP 1.install your NBA live 2004 again then run NBA2004PATCH. if it's no problem it will look like this!!!
STEP 2.and go to C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2004\main\cscripts, open xstartup.cfg with notepad, scroll down near the bottom of the text, and replace the line "customart 0" with "customart 1"
STEP 3.just delete original folders and put my folders in it(located C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 2004) 4 folders were render renfe ai anim !!!
STEP 4.Not only x~~folders put in the render folder but also all viv~~~~put in it
STEP 5.finally you guys will have only one folder in this step!!! and it located C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents and delete original and put the only one folder in it and run the game and enjoy!!!!!
P.S if you have to change detail settings~~~ play settings(red circle) must be maximum and the others whatever you like!!!

I think it's a problem from RYFF Studio since everything was working fine before that...I will try to reinstall Live 2004 and see if it works....

I got it to work...for some reason my nbalive2004.exe was a wrong version....
