NBA Live 2004 wishlist.....or should i say NBA 2k4

Tue Apr 22, 2003 9:36 am

Hello.

All the speculations about this are true. Below i've posted a link from where you can confirm this. If this deal goes down Sega might start making 2k3 for PC which will be a huge upgrade from the crap EA does for us now with their NBA Series. However, here are my suggestions

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_pa ... b&aid=1567

After playing NBA Live 2003 this year i went out and gave the CD away after i had got sick and tired of watching the same thing over and over and over and over.....again.

My Wishlist:
1.) Player Momentum Meter - For example, if you sign a free agent and he does very well in two or three games, his ratings and confidence will go up and he will hit a couple more shots and play defense better in a game. This would be temporary. Ex. If you can make shaq hit 7 free throws in a game his rating will go up temporarily until he starts to miss some during the season. This would also make it worthwhile signing free agents. The same will also be the case if the player doesn't play so well.

2.) Fans - The crowd should be more realistic like the 2k3 series and also it would be cool to have some 3-D crowds like the players. It would be cool i think to see Jack Nickalaus at a Lakers game or Frankie Muniz at Clippers and Spike Lee and Knicks game. This would be pretty cool.

3.) Referees - This should be pretty obvious

4.) Add more people than just the coach - Having an assistant coach to take over if the coach gets ejected.

5.) Hiring coaches and Etc. - If Phil Jackson quits his lakers job it should be likely to sign him for your own team. Also, retired players should also be able to be signed as coaches. I also have one more idea ( it might sound dumb). I always wanted to hire more than just coaches...For example, trainers for your team and have him work with a struggling player on one of his weaknesses and also Physical Trainers which will determine how long you player will be injured for.

6.) Career/Season Ending Injuries - somewhat

7.) Weight training mode - This might sound idiotic but, i have an olympic game and in that when you're in the off-season you can determine what your player should do to be fit the next year. For example, make Richard Hamilton get more muscle so he can have a low post presence. Also it would also be cool to have an in season/franchise mode like this. For example, make Yao Ming work out one week before he faces shaq.

8.) Also it would be cool to have all the Sacramento crowd wear white during the playoffs. Players having different hairstyle during year (Kobe with Afro i one season and without the other, Allen Iverson different hairstyle every week or month) You know...Like in Nba Live 98 with Dennis Rodman.

9.) One thing that i really want is a software to put my picture in the game. Also a software in the game with lets me record my name and then convert it to the announcers voice so he will say my name. For example, if someone has the Name Igor Baryshnikov he could say his name through a microphone and his voice will be change somehow to sound the same as the announcers and then have that be his sound Package. I'm sick of hearing #25 or #54

These are just some of the ideas i have......will post more later

If you think my ideas are dumb then I have one thing to say to you.....I am from the same country as Apu Nahaasapemapetilon
PAZ :D

The first, you can use a program such as Adobe Photoshop to create your own cyberface with a picture of yourself. Search the forum for a tutorial.

The Second, it's been asked for. A text to speech program wouls be nice, but would only work for standard names like Bill, Ted (heh heh Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure) etc. So "Igor Baryshnikov" proably wouldn't work.

I agree with you
