euroleague

Postby BlackBird23 on Sun Mar 09, 2008 1:28 am

Hey,

got some weird problem.
I'm playing with the euroleague roster
trying 2 put players that r not in one of the euro teams nor the free agents but in genuine NBA teams that i can c through 1 on 1 or individual practice.
the problem is that i can't make the trade through the game itself cuz those teams (NBA) don't appear at the team management menus.
tried making the trade through dbf editor but the game crashes after i load the edited players file. i changed the team column and the salary column between 2 players (one in an NBA team and one in a euro team). even tried changing the team column of a certain NBA player 2 free agents but it still crashes when i load the file as if the dbf database is incorrect or smt.
can anyone help me out plz?

Which program did you use to edit the dbf file? If it was MS Excel, you may have corrupted the file when you saved it. DB Commander is a much safer program to use.

Also, here's a tutorial on trading players through DBF editing. You might want to give it a look and see if you missed a step somewhere. :)

thanks!
It seems 2 be working now. I edited the player i wanted as a free agent (29)
tried at first 2 change an existing roster but it didn't work. then i just saved a new file, edited the dbf and loaded it and it worked finally.
DB commander is much better than the other program i tried.
the only problem is that it's a trial version and not freeware
wish i could get around it somehow...

DB Commander should never really expire. A few of the extra features are disabled when the trial is up but basic editing is still possible.
