Discussion about NBA Live 2004.

Why isn't the draft order more realistic in franchise mode? The teams that pick last always have the disadvantage because they end up with the lowest picks. This is kind of hard to explain but I hope some of you understand.
In NBA Live, the team who gets the first pick will always get the first pick of each round. The team that picks last will always get the last pick of each round. So the team that picks first will get the 1st, 31st, 61st pick or whatever. The team that picks last will get the 30th, 60th, and 90th pick and so on. This isn't fair. The teams that pick in the top half will always have a better team. What they should do is make it like how the draft is in Yahoo Fantasy Basketball. In the first round, team #1 gets the first pick and team #30 gets the last pick. But in the second round, team #30 gets the 1st pick and the draft order is reversed and team #1 gets the last pick of the 2nd round but then they get the first pick of the 3rd round and the order keeps switching back and forth. This would be more fair, and also more fun if you play franchises with your friends.

oops I meant the FANTASY DRAFT that you can do in franchise mode, not the end of season drafts in franchise mode.
During fantasy draft, the draft order should be reversed every round for the 15 rounds so that it is more fair. As it stands now, if you do fantasy draft with your friends, the person picking last in round 1 will pick last in each subsequent round and end up with all the shitty players.

ok, i see, that's a pretty cool idea...

This idea of "reversed drafting" has been in the NHL games (atleast) and I've never really used it... What would be cool, would be that there would be 13 rounds of draft and all rounds would be chosen in a random order and you could only pick 12 players -> At random you should miss a round between the picks of 3 to 6, so the teams would be more realistic. There are only a few teams, with five good starters.
Or maybe create a system like the rookie draft, that the guys that got to choose last the round before has a good chance of getting the numer one pick this round... And I know that this could be done with ease, only a few more lines of code.
Well, this could be something "small enough" to be implemented even in the late stages of the creation process.
