1.Show players arriving in the building(arena)
2.Edit stadium floors,lights,etc.
3.Show players checking into the game(at the scorers table)
4.Before the game starts have the commentators talk about your team aswell as the cpu team.About weaknesses,strengths,key players,streaks for players,coaches,what the key to winning for a team will be,comparision,etc.etc.
5.During the tip.Pull up team leaders,ex. Vince Carter leads the rapters in scoring,antonio davis leads in rebounds and alvin williams leads in assists.(you know somthin like dat)
6.Crowd holding up signs
7.Coach and Player technical fouls and ejections.
8.Suspensions and Fines
9.Fighting.If your player goes up strong and is knocked down hard.Have him hop up and punch the player that knocked him down.
10.user injuries at least every game..(like madden.Let there b an option.For more or less.Less would b how it is now and more would b one at least every game for the USER and CPU each.)
11.On injuries:Show players limping up court,collapsing,singaling for the trainer to come out,auto timeout,.Also,On injury's if they land awkward(like on a dunk or step on someones foot)theyre..Injured..
12.Injury report by one of the ladies.
13.When a player is injured give people the option to play the player.(so if your created player has a back injury and is out for a long time you have the option to dress him so you can finish the playoff.And during a game when you playing with a player that is injured for a long time,they show your player laying down getting iced down)
14.If you dont wanna play your player thats out for awhile and let him heal before playoff time or something have him on the bench shown in street gear.
15.During halftime:Have interviews with players.Go into the locker room and hear what the coach is telling his players.
16.Before halftime is up:Have commentators tell what went wrong for a team and why there down.Tell about keyplayers.
17.In fourth quarter:Have commentators talk about records.ex.Celtics:12-0(none of my examples are real) when up by 4 at the start of the fourth quarter.
18.At the end of the game:Highlights,key plays..Commentators speak about player of the game,look in on current games(halftime and at the end of the game)..Post game interview with coaches and players.Speak about a teams up coming scheduale..
ex.Boston go back home after a 6 game road trip,which they were 5-1.(something like that)
19.When a team arrives home,have crowd really excited.And anticipate every shot,and big basket.
20.During timeouts-show look in's on games,go into coach huddle and hear what the coach is saying to the players.
21.Have whole coaching staff on the bench.
22.In the beggining of the season hand out championship rings.
23.Get Jason Kidd to do the alley oops(no look alley oops 2)
24.Get Jason Williams who plays for the grizzlies to do passes.Guys remember his fancy passes when he was on sacramento.(no look passes,behind the back passes,between the leg passes,touch passes.spit like dat.)

Seriously,

1- Jump: Is stupid that a playar can jump while he is defending as high as when he is running to the rim. In defense the player are stand with both legs on the floor. The jump shouldn´t be so high. With that, there wouldn´t be so much blocks.
2- CPU gameplay. The AI is really annoying. Why the guards shoot ten times more than centers? Derek Fisher shoots 13 three pointers each game, and Shaq only shoots 6 or 7.
3-Post play. If you are able to avoid the steal, almost every center in the game can be decisive, because it´s really easy getting the basket when your opponent try to steal de ball.
4- The % are extremely high. Both teams can finish over 70%.
5- Dunks: There are too much dunks per game. If we want a simulation game, dunks should only be allowed when the player is really without opposition, with a few exceptions (Shat, McGrady, etc.).
6- LAG in on-line play. I don´t know why, but in NBA Live 2003 there is a tremendous LAG, that weren´t in NBA Live 2001. When the LAG appears, it´s absolutely imposible to play decently.
7- To much steals. CPU defense should concentrate in keeping you away the basket, and the steal should only come when you make a fool pass, or when you are sleeping with the ball. But when you are up and the CPU makes a fullcourt press, normally they get the ball after your first pass, because they have the faster hands all over the world.
8- I don´t know how many players can shoot a 3-pointer after completing a full round in the air and when they are falling back, but in nba live 2003 (and in 2001, and in 2000, etc) it seems that every one can do it in the last two minutes.
9- Rebounds: NBA Live 2003 is a step in the right direction, but it seems that if you jump right in the moment you can catch every rebounds. Normally, I can catch the double of rebounds than my opponent, because I get 95% of my defensive rebounds, and 50% of offensive rebounds, and that´s not realistic.
10- Inspiration: It should be good that the players have a parameter of inspiration. I mean, that certain players could be on fire in some games, or, in the other end, that stars like Shat, Kobe, etc. could have games where they miss all they shots. Of course, inspiration could be related with offensive mentality, or with another factors, and could have manifestations in the very game (in ocasions, players who stars the game horrible in the third or fourth quarter are on fire, or viceversa)
11- Injuries: We want a basketball simulation game, but with a better management part. I mean, more injuries during a game, which last for several games. Better CPU AI for trades, because it´s really easy to cheat the CPU, and getting adventage of the AI. You can offer an 3x1, with 3 free agents and getting a very good player.

1. show replays at the quarter breaks not inbetween plays, it messes up the flow of the game
2. Commentators react to whats happening on the floor and not just reading of a script
3. Pre recording for all the possible rookies that the cpu creates, instead of the commentators saying "#24 drives to the basket", because in the 15th year of Franchise non of the players are from the oiginal rosters.except for a few.
4. Instead of having cut scenes have players react within the game and not in the cut scenes.
5. Have a realistic TV presentation with seperate half time broadcasters, and courtside reporters( Craig Sager, Cheryl Miller)
6. Make the stadiums different, not just the court. Make MSG MSG and staples center into uhhhhh staples center.
7. when you're playing a game show updates around the league, and on Aturdays and Sundays have different commentators, triple headers. Like one day maybe DAllas and SAC, SA and LA, and NJ and PHIl play advertize this and talk about the games.
8. Have a weekly or monthly show during the season about the preceding games like NBA fastbreak tueday, or NBA2NIGHt, or have a 24/7 show like NBA TV
9. Make an NCAA expansion game for NBA live for the pc since there is no March Madness game.

Also include a training option where u can train ur players.

bring back weekly and monthly awards, also tell player which guys were nominated and the ratings can go up if they were nominated.

Man you boys are dumb... The game does not need more cut scenes etc. The graphics are fine.

The turn-around-jump-shot is way too accurate. Today I had Shandon Anderson pull one up on me from half court. Talk about brutal.

Read my thread for the really needed wishes. You don't have to tell EA to add glitz and glamour to the game, they do it anyway...

But one feature that I want extremely bad in the game is getting the crowd involved. I think that if a team hits a big shot then the crowd should erupt. With closing seconds of the game and its a one point game then the crowd should be extremely loud. Add in a momentum factor to the game. If the crowd was more into the game and the gameplay was fixed thats all that I would need.

New Feature :
1. Add 3-ON-3 game.
2. Add Slamdunk contest. May be you can try an approach from Jordan vs Bird' slam dunk contest.
3. We can select the court (stadium/gym/urban/beach) for all game.
4. 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 practice for a team. We just select a team and then we can select players for team A and team B for pratice. There's no time limit, no injuries and no foul. All member don't wear official jersey.
5. On 1 person practice, we can select two players. One as the main player and one as assistant player. You can move the assistant player to a position and then you can hold his position. From the position, he can passing to main player for alley-oop and shooting practice, and he can shooting and missed for rebound practice.
6. Instant reply saves in an animation mode.

Sheesh thunderwind, just because a guy has multiple faces does not mean that you have to hit him. The fact that he is trying to hide his faces with a towel ought to tell you that he is already ashamed of them.

I hope that these wishes are not all that you guys out there wish to have... Cause these are quite trivial...

About the crowd... Well it was more involved in the first Lives, but something died in there... Well it would be nice to get the crowd back really good. Chanting Defense etc. And really exploding when the home team hits a buzzer beater.

And about the color commentary... Well it is all well done, but because the game is so fast paced the commentators fall behind on their comments. I get this all the time: "Kobe went for the shot fake" and still I block the ball because the fake is such a fast action. And making plays is quite hard on the ears too... They keep on going on about the screens and passes, which comes up too repeatedly. And I think the commentators should react to those miracle passes. Like passing from three point line to low post for a open dunk... I'm not sure if there's anything for that in the selection.

But again... Ea will add glitz and glamour to the game even if we told them not to, so it is kind of trivial to ask for more of it. The game will be smoother and prettier next time around, it always is. That doesn't always make for a better game.

I would like that Online gaming would be better. Now there is big problem with lag and roster loading is complicated. Actually there should be more attention on online mode, because there is lot Leagues for NBA Live 2003. And Player vs. Player is very interesting...and lot more fun than against cpu.

don´t make the pg shot all the time, and please try to make a good center like shaquille O´Neal shot more often( there might maybe be a value for every player, that how often he shoots, and then the Ai would deliver better simulation)

The commentary should scream/say and he has done a triple double
when somebody has done a tripledouble

I sometimes feel like it's a waste of time making these wishlists...cause EA only inputs a small fraction or none of the suggestions. Quite saddening...but live seems to be slowly but surely getting better. This year's live was/is definitely a step in the right direction.

That's because when it happens in real life it counts as an attempted shot. If you shoot 9-16 for example 16 is shots attempted even if a shot is blocked, you still attempted to shoot.

I would like to see a Street Hoops like feature in the franchise mode. Ya know how they could customize their hair, tattoos, etc.? Well that would be nice in Live. That's because when it happens in real life it counts as an attempted shot. If you shoot 9-16 for example 16 is shots attempted even if a shot is blocked, you still attempted to shoot.

Yeah, but the point was that a blocked shot does not always count as a shot for the shooter... In Live 2003, before it was correctly done. But the blocks just have to go... No team gets 30 blocks even if the NBA pros were playing teens. Less blocks and more rebounds... Which will all be accomplished by dropping the fg percentages and block ratios.

Most of these requests can be made even now. Just tweak roster. Lower Speed so that Kobe has 82, Shaq 74 and Magloire as example 66 so that game speed would be lot slower. Block ratings should be 65 max, FG should be 74 max, and inside scoring something arount 75 so that they wouldnt make every layup. Rebounding has to stay as hight as it is in default roster. In online leagues, there has made these kinda rosters. and their pretty fair. Best overall in league has Kobe and T-Mac (83). Belive me, it wont take fun away of playing. Even Franchise is normal.

Yes...Jump rating means too much, Blocking, Rebounding, Dunking....all of them depends on jump rating. So if we want that some players would be lot better inboarding and blocks then Jump should be higher. And anyway, jump rating should be 63 normal players and 70-75 those rebounding, blocking and dunking guys, like J.O'Neal, B.Wallace, even Shaq shhould have higher jump. Ofcourse those hyper jumpers like Vince, Kobe, T-Mac, Francis, J-Rich, Desmond and so on MUST have high jump ratings.

Yeah, but in the game it does not always count toward shots taken... And that is dumb... It is just unrealistic.

Another thing that was a very nice move from EA! They get bragging rights with 30+ animations for rebounding and then the game does not utilise them. Players under the hoop should jump at the ball coming his way. Again a thing that used to work, but does not anymore.

They almost should take NBA Live 2001 and work the graphics and make the franchise work correctly. There is just so many faults in Live 2003...

I'd rather see them fix the problems with Live 2003 and work on improving elements such as the hand-in-the-face aspect. NBA Live 2001 had plenty of bugs, including players recording a game played statistic when they did not play, offensive rebounds outnumbering defensive rebounds, as well as the inability to interrupt animations (ie. spinning out of bounds, can't pass back in) and the whole "force field" problem.

If EA tone it down and fix some nagging problems, then NBA Live 2004 should be a great game. It's all there in NBA Live 2003 - fixed rebounding bug (defensive rebounds outweight offensive rebounds), much better player control, some minor bugs (likes the games played statistic) fixed to name a few - now it's just a matter of building on that. Slowing down the game and improving the realism factor.

Live 2003 was the year of adding a new element to the gameplay. Hopefully Live 2004 will be the improvement to the pace/realism of the gameplay, and concentration on the features, such as Franchise Mode.

I couldn't agree more with Andrew... They shouldn't bring any drastic new features into the game, but work on the things that they already got to make the game better and do just some easy to add features... Like trading draft picks etc. Three way deals like they were supposed to work.

The biggest problems need to be cleared before any new additions can be made. The free-style control is nice I guess. Keyboard players like me haven't really experienced it. It needs a new implementation for keyboard.

And the UI needs to be made for PC!

But basically they need to get the game working like it should and fixing the balance of the game and statistics and perhaps think of new additions for 2005...
