The best wishlist! -- Needs to be emailed right away!!

Postby Rens on Thu Jan 09, 2003 2:45 am

This covers everybody's wishes so it's perfect!

SLAM DUNK CONTEST!! -- Ofcourse.. the most important thing  And please EA don't forget free style control of the slam dunks because I don't want to do it like Britney's Dance Beat just follow an order of pressing buttons that's booooring! I want to dunk myself.

Three point contest this was in the game before why take it away??

Come to think of it: Put in the whole all-star weekend! Rookie teams, two ball, everything this will be so great please email it!

Jordan's face didn't even look like him he needs wrinkles...

We should be able to edit the draft so we can put in rookies. That brings me to  trading draft picks! How can a game be realistic without this?

We also need better hip hop songs!

Please email this because it's "the best" ! Everybody wants it...

why not add these

change the colors of the audience of every teams homecourt to their team's color, with their jerseys like in real life

change the sticks that the crowd hit to the home color when the away team is shooting freethrows

make famous celebrities appear in the game like Jack Nicholson at a Lakers game sitting courtside.

cheerleaders sitting near their team bench and coming out every time a timeout is called.

I dont get you people.... this wishlist is a joke...
all the all star weekend andthose stuff can be gr8 fun BUT!
the real wish that everybody wants is to improve gameplay in every way possible, all those stuff you ask will probably nice if implanted but we are asking for something that will make the game enjoyable in a way you can play it more and more again and again, the all star weekend will probably draw some attention but will hardly keep me (and others) in the game,
but a simulation gameplay like nba live should have is something that can keep us all in the game!
and thats exactly the reason all your so claimed "wish lists" get so little attention.

Rens, are you being silly? I think you are. This has been mentioned a million times.
I wouldn't expect EA to put a All Star Weekend in....i mean, common, it's EA...but i think trading draft picks is almost essential!

cheerleaders sitting near their team bench and coming out every time a timeout is called.

That would get annoying.
Having a half time show would be...nice. but at every time out i'd find myself hitting enter obsesively

i agree
id rather have a DECENT bball franchise where the 6th man plays more than 6 mins per game or an offseason where duncan can be signed for the minimum or where ben wallace cant block 20 a game

the other stuff wud be great but fix the game first then go on to better stuff

I think a lot of people have missed the point that Dan/Rens' (I assume it's Rens, but who knows, we could have an NBA player in our midst ) original post was made in jest, satirising wishlists that focus on extras rather than gameplay.

Dunk contest?? lol
First everyone was pissed off that nba live 2001 had the worst AI so EAsports kinda fixed that problem. There is still work to be done like lowering the fast breaks, which gets way out of control with nbalive2003 and other minor things. I think the only thing EAsports should focus on is improving the AI and of the stupid computer instead of making an arcade game like NBA JAM.

Whether the "wishlist" was made in jest or not, it is true that a looot of people are actually asking for this.

The heart of the Live series lies in the franchise mode feature. The fact that it was hardly improved in Live 2003 shows just how misguided the NBA Live series has become.

Everytime someone interviews some hotshot from EA Sports (or from whatever developer of sport sims) they always say that the most important thing is getting the game's graphics to look like the real thing. Eh? Graphics should take a back seat to gameplay realism. What's the use of having ultra realistic graphics if the gameplay does not even come close?
