Tips for downtown

Can someone give me some tips to drain it from 3pt. line. All my teams have a poor 3pt. % even if I have some especialists in the roster and I can't improve the percentage with any player. Every season I get the highest 2pt. % so I guess a wrong shooting (mechanism/timing) can't be the fault. In addition I fire nearly 50 % of the 3pts. from open spots and still miss while the AI controlled teams are torching me from downtown all the time even when I have the hand in the shooter's face. My season percentages rolls around 18-30 %. Please, any 3pts. especialist help me!
