Installation fails

I bought a copy of Live 2004 off ebay, and was very pissed off to find that it wouldn't install. It got to 54% and then came up with an error message saying something along the lines of "There was an error copying the file xteam.viv from the media. Retry or cancel?" Retry of course brings up the same message a few seconds later, and cancelling the installation and trying again makes no difference either. I assumed it must be a fault with that particular copy, so while I hassled the user for a refund, I bought another copy from someone else. After finally receiving it today I'm more than a bit annoyed and puzzled to find that the exact same thing has happened Anyone know what the problem might be?
